"Summer of Our Discontent" is the 2nd episode of the third season of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Cody finds a job at the Paul Revere Mini Mart, but to get a job, he needs to get Wayne a date with London. Zack becomes the nerd of his summer school class.

StoryEdit

Cody searches for a summer job. He asks Mr. Moseby for a job but he immediately declines Cody. Cody then goes to the Paul Revere Mini Mart and meets the assistant manager, Wayne Wormser. At first, he declines him, but when he sees London Tipton talking to him, he agrees to hire him ONLY if he gets a date with her. The reason why is because Wayne has a massive crush on London. Cody tells Moseby his plan to ask London to date Wayne, which he struggles hard not to laugh since he's seen what Wayne was like and that there's no way London would agree. Cody then subtley asks London for a favor, which she flatly refuses before hearing it, then in a rare moment of intuition, correctly deduced that Cody was going to ask her to date a guy obsessed with her. Perturbed at this, Cody quickly recovers and says that it was actually an interview with a fashion magazine publisher, which she agrees to attend.

Zack discovers he is the smartest student in his summer-school class, taught by Laura Bird and all the other kids make fun of him, including giving him lots of wedgies. Fed up with the kids bullying him becuase he actually does his work, Zack stands up to him and his classmates. are impressed; eventually the whole class comes to suite 2330 and Zack tutors the kids.

The date/interview between Wayne and London goes terribly (throughout the whole date), and Wayne gets angry at Cody for lying to him. Soon after, Cody is called back to the Paul Revere Mini Mart. The reason why is because the pictures Cody took at the date got him popluarity on his blog.

- Haley: Shy. Painfully shy. Don't look at me!

Wayne: Welcome to the Paul Revere Mini Mart. The savings are coming! The savings are coming!

Zack: So guys... any of you want to share a peanut butter and banana sandwich...? (gets wedgied on the coat rack) I'll take that as a "no"!

The title of this episode, "Summer of Our Discontent", is an allusion to a quote from Shakespeare's play, Richard the Third, "Now is the winter of our discontent; Made glorious summer by this son of York".
Zack is usually seen wearing boxers instead of briefs.
