"Bermuda Triangle" is the 11th episode of the second season of The Suite Life on Deck.

Story[]

Zack and Cody receive a $200 check from their parents for their 16th birthday, but have an argument about how to spend it and end up ripping in in half. Following this, Zack wishes he was an only child and Cody wishes for the same, saying that nothing would make him happier. Once the ship enters the Bermuda Triangle, their wish comes true; the twins were split up at birth, with Zack growing up with just their mom and Cody growing up with just their dad.

Zack grew to be a nerdy boy, more than Cody ever was. He keeps giving speeches when making drinks for his friends, has a major crush on Bailey that is reflected on the real heart-shaped cookies he bakes, and has no sense of fun at all. Likewise, Cody grew with Zack's personality pushed to the extreme; as he is rude, crude, nasty, obnoxious, sexist and very inconsiderate.

Quotes[]

  • Cody: Aww, mom wrote us a poem. "Your birthday is here and I'm really beaming. Giving birth to you boys was worth all the screaming." That is so mom - heartfelt with the touch of guilt.
    • Moseby: Yes, she screamed when you were born and I've been screaming ever since.
  • Zack: I was raised by my mother. And she taught me to take responsibility for myself and show respect to others.
    • Cody: Well, I was raised on the road by my dad and his rock band - eight guys in a bus with one bathroom. I learned to fend for myself, and pee in some pretty strange places.
  • Cody: Really? My birthday's coming up too. I'm going to be 16 this Saturday.
    • Zack: Really? So will I. Where were you born?
    • Cody: Seattle.
    • Zack: So was I. What hospital?
    • Cody: St. Joseph's.
    • Zack: So was I. What time?
    • Cody: 6:40.
    • Zack: I was born at 6:30.
    • Woody: Woah, for a second there it was getting a little spooky.
    • Bailey: It still is spooky. You look alike. You were born in the same place at the same time. Do you know what this means? You two must be-
    • Woody: Aliens!
    • Bailey: No, twins.
    • Zack and Cody: Twins?
    • Woody: Twin aliens!

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode of the series that Phill Lewis both directs and appears in.
  • The Z-Box 800 is a parody of the Xbox 360.
  • This is the only time the twins' birthday is shown on screen throughout the series.
  • Cody and Bailey still have a connection in the alternative universe.
  • It could be said that this episode is opposite to the episode "The Suite Smell Of Excess" as in that episode Zack and Cody stayed in the same while everyone else had a different personality. In this episode, everyone is the same, it is only Zack and Cody who change.

Goofs[]

  • In the alternate universe, it seems illogical for Zack to still work at the juice bar, since the initial reason that he started working there was to pay off his maxed out student card—which he likely would not have done, given his responsible personality.
  • Woody's line "I was the youngest of nine" was incorrect, because in "Mulch Ado About Nothing" he says, "This was meant to go to my little sister!"
    • This could be because this was an alternative universe, the number of siblings Woody has is different.
  • This episode shows that London doesn't believe in aliens, but instead thinks of them as "elves that uneducated people mistake from beings from outer space," but in the episode Boston Holiday, London and Maddie try to track down aliens after finding a UFO.
    • She could've changed her thoughts in between, however, that doesn't explain how in Beauty and the Fleeced, London seemed to regain her belief by talking about aliens being ugly.
